Men's weekend
The shadow
What you keep to yourself. And the man who gets under your skin.
About the weekend
The shadow is what you put away to become the man you are. The key is projection: the trait you find hard to bear in another man usually has an address with you. By the fire on Friday we begin with our own.
On Saturday we look at both sides: what we have let ourselves be subjected to, and what we have subjected others to. The one who only sees himself as a victim stays a child; the one who only sees himself as a perpetrator stays a prisoner. Sunday is the heaviest morning of the ten — and the one most take something home from.
Clearing a room or a barn: bringing out what has stood hidden, sorting, and burning what needs burning.
On Saturday evening by the fire each man who wants to says one sentence: which part of it is mine.
Of what I find hard to bear in him, what do I know from myself?
Which man gets under your skin — and why?

This weekend is best once you have been here before — start with The good argument, for instance.
