Men's weekend
The father
What you got from your father. What you pass on.
About the weekend
Every man carries his father in his body: the voice, the posture, the sentence he said often. By the fire on Friday we begin with our own fathers — what we got, and what we missed.
Saturday is about being a father and a role model: the young man who is watching you right now, a son, a nephew, an apprentice. And about the man who stood there instead, if your father was gone. On Sunday you write to your father. The letter can be sent, read aloud, burned or left in the drawer — all four are right.
Planting trees. You plant one you will sit under yourself in twenty years — or someone else will.
On Saturday evening each man who wants to says one sentence his father said often — in his father's voice. It is simple, and it is enough.

This weekend is best once you have been here before — start with The good argument, for instance.
