Men's weekend
Fear
What you are afraid of, said out loud among men.
About the weekend
Fight, flight, freeze, fawn — four ways the body handles fear before the head gets to think. By the fire on Friday you find your own: the time you froze, the time you were too nice. It is a map of you, and you decide how much of it the others see.
On Saturday we talk about what men are afraid of — losing, being seen, being laughed at among men. Courage is fear plus a decision. On Sunday we practise the small no, said the same day.
A task you have watched others do and walked around yourself: bricklaying, plastering, cutting glass, laying roofing felt. Together with a man who can.
Saturday evening is the dark: twenty minutes alone on the island, the head torch switched off in your pocket. Back at the fire you say one sentence, if you wish.
Which F is mine?
When did you last say yes out of fear?

Saturday
Up at 7. A talk, then work until 2 pm. Two hours where you write, in silence. A walk to the sea, two by two. Dinner, and at 8 the evening's room.
Sunday
A silent walk, a short circle, and then we read out what you wrote on Saturday — anonymously, if you wish. A last talk, and at 4 the ferry leaves.
