Five couples, a weekend on an island, and plenty of time to feel each other again.
The love is often still there. But everyday life, the children, work and the old patterns can make the body close up a little, so that you care for each other and still lean in less. The weekend makes room to feel it again.
It moves between community and time as a couple. You eat at your own table, and the workshops lead back to the date.
How a weekend runs
Friday at 5 pm
The ferry from Stigsnæs, a quarter of an hour. You arrive, and the evening begins with a real date: your own table and dinner for two. Afterwards everyone meets for the weekend’s first workshop.
Saturday
Morning yoga for those who want it, and breakfast together. Workshops, walks along the water and lunch, with plenty of time in between for the sauna, a nap or a conversation. In the evening your own table again: dinner, wine and time for each other.
Sunday
Brunch, a short closing workshop, perhaps a walk together, and then the ferry home.
From the head, down into the body, into contact and back to each other.
The body and contact
What happens when two people come close to each other? When does the body tense up, and when does it settle? Can I receive touch without immediately giving something back? With simple exercises in touch, attention and presence, you help each other find calm. It is about having experiences with each other again, in the body.
Sound and vibration
Each couple gets a session together on the vibroacoustic table, where sound and vibration become a way of settling, side by side.
Mature and immature energy
A map of mature and immature masculine and feminine energy becomes a language for what arises between two people. When does care turn into control? When does strength turn into dominance? And what do the same qualities look like when they mature?
The patterns, played
Lai is an actor. He plays the situations in several versions, so you can see your own pattern from the outside, recognisably and often funnily, and neither of you has to stand on the floor.
